Alex Francois is an experienced employment program director currently serving at One Treasure Island since January 2015, where the focus is on creating inclusive community pathways for economic advancement, particularly for lower-income San Franciscans and those experiencing homelessness. In addition, Alex has been the CEO of the organization Bringing Underemployed Individuals to Local Developers (B.U.I.L.D.) since June 2010. Previous roles include Employment Liaison at the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Economic Workforce Development from June 2006 to June 2009, and Housing and Urban Job Developer at Glide Memorial United Methodist Church from May 2005 to May 2006. Alex also served as the Construction Trades Program Director for the Bay Area Construction Sector Intervention Collaborative from September 2002 to May 2005, contributing significantly to workforce development in the construction industry. Alex holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Construction Management and Engineering from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
