Yoni Komorov is a consultant to the Israel Democracy Institute. He was Vice President at the S. Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace from 2010-2020. Prior to joining the Center, he was based in West Palm Beach, Florida and served as Chief of Staff to the Chairman, S. Daniel Abraham. In this capacity, Yoni assisted Mr. Abraham with his various philanthropic ventures and also traveled extensively to the Middle East, accompanying Mr. Abraham on his track II diplomatic efforts. Yoni served as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and moved to the United States in 2002 after completing his service in the IDF. Yoni graduated from the University of Miami in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and received his J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law in 2014. During his academic studies he worked as a research associate for the Public International Law and Policy Group and also as a foreign legal clerk at the Supreme Court in Jerusalem. From 2013-2018 he was a guest lecturer at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service where he delivered classes on Israel’s legal system and the role of the Supreme Court in Israeli society.
