Creative Director at One Workplace

Kate Rancourt has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the design industry. Kate started their career as a Design Intern at KSA Interiors in 2011, where they assisted in CAD drawing development, furniture and finish selection, and graphics. Kate then joined Polymer Solutions Incorporated as an Administrative Assistant, working on quality procedures development and implementing branding standards. Kate returned to KSA Interiors as a Junior Interior Designer, specializing in higher education and municipal spaces, and later advanced to the role of Interior Designer, gaining NCIDQ and CID statuses. At One Workplace, Kate held the positions of Creative Lead, where they trained team members in design thinking methodologies, and Design Studio Manager, responsible for implementing strategic goals and overseeing team member mentorship. Currently, they are serving as the Associate Creative Director at One Workplace, helping develop workplace strategies, building relationships, and leading customer engagements and workshops using design thinking methods. Overall, Kate Rancourt's work experience demonstrates their expertise in design, strategic thinking, and client relationships.

Kate Rancourt completed their education at Radford University from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. Before that, they attended Blacksburg High School from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained an Advanced Diploma. Kate has also obtained several certifications, including becoming a Founding Member of Silicon Valley Women for Good from Grapevine in January 2023. In April 2020, they completed the course "Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects" at Coursera. In February 2020, they also completed the course "Design Thinking for Innovation" at Coursera. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Certified Interior Designer (CID) from CCIDC, Inc. - California Council for Interior Design Certification, obtained in June 2018, and as an NCIDQ Certification (NCIDQ) from the Council for Interior Design Qualification - CIDQ, obtained in August 2014.
