Manuella Bridgette Appiah

Manuella Bridgette Appiah is an accomplished Environment, Social, and Governance Manager at Sunrock, leading the company's ESG strategy and initiatives since May 2022. Holding an External PhD candidacy at Leiden Law School and serving on the Advisory Council for The Copper Mark, Manuella is also a One Young World Ambassador and a guest lecturer on Business and Human Rights at Tilburg University. Previously, Manuella held various positions at the Sociaal-Economische Raad, including Team Leader for the Extractives Sector and Senior Policy Officer, focusing on international responsible business conduct agreements. As co-founder of the Civilized Politics for Enhanced Democracy movement, efforts to enhance democratic processes in Ghana were spearheaded. Manuella has also contributed as Managing Editor for the International Labor Rights Case Law journal and as a researcher at The Hague Institute for Global Justice. Manuella holds cum laude degrees in International and European Law and International and European Public Law from Tilburg University.
