Tony Pai

Tony Pai has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Starting in 2013, Tony worked as a Unity Engineer at Infini Studio, where they developed indie games using the Unity engine. Tony also gained experience in app submission for the Google Play Store and App Store, winning a golden prize at a prestigious competition.

In 2014, Tony worked as a Unity Tutor at Gjun PC School, teaching students game design and interactive C# scripting while providing troubleshooting support.

In 2015, Tony joined ifalo科技有限公司 as a Senior Front End Developer, maintaining internal systems and refactoring dashboard panels for better user experience. Tony also programmed a brand new project using React.js.

From 2016 to 2017, Tony worked as a Senior Front End Engineer at feversocial.com, where they led the launch of a new service that provided faster and easier ways to build landing pages. Tony set up the front end stack, designed the system architecture from scratch, and optimized deployment processes.

From 2017 to 2019, Tony was a Senior Engineer at Taroko, where they initiated a refactor plan for old products to incorporate modern features like single-page applications (SPA) and responsive web design (RWD). Tony also integrated modern web apps with Rails and increased test coverage for solid production delivery.

In 2019, Tony joined Oriente as a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, where they built an e-commerce platform to enhance the user conversion rate of the loan business. Tony programmed a server-side rendered WebView app using Nuxt.js.

Tony's next role was as a Senior Engineer at OneDegree from 2020. Tony collaborated with a talented team to deliver a high-availability insurance web application. Tony developed a server-side rendered app using Next.js and ensured that systems remained available, reliable, and maintainable. Tony also designed flexible infrastructure solutions for on-premises and multi-cloud environments, developed policies, and conducted trainings to improve development and deployment performance.

Most recently, Tony held the position of Principal Site Reliability Engineer at OneDegree from 2022. In this role, they continued to ensure systems remained available, reliable, and maintainable while offering valuable insights on development and infrastructure issues. Tony also designed flexible infrastructure solutions for on-premises and multi-cloud environments and developed policies while conducting trainings to improve development and deployment performance.

Tony Pai earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tunghai University from 2006 to 2011. Tony then pursued a Master's degree in Information Management from the same university from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, Tony has obtained several certifications from Microsoft, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate in April 2021, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert in September 2021, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert in June 2022, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate in June 2023.
