Kim’s almost 20 years in the energy industry – 15 in renewables – spans across positions in the wind and solar business, including strategy, project acquisitions, development, PPAs, finance and procurement.
At Iberdrola Renewables, Kim managed and built the U.S. solar power business, and also closed the company’s first sale-leaseback financing structure for more than $100 million. As the director of wind asset management at PPM Energy, she developed and managed a team responsible for the P&L of over 2,000MW of wind assets. Most recently Kim worked for 3Degrees as the head of their Renewable Energy Procurement division and then Strategy and Corporate Development. There, she advised companies on how to reduce their carbon footprint through the purchase of renewable energy and helped increase 3Degrees’ impact enabling corporations to take urgent action on climate change.
Kim has B.A. from UC Berkeley, a MBA and a MPH from San Diego State University, and a MS in Society and Bioethics from King’s College, London.
