Maija Itkonen

Maija Itkonen is the current CEO of Onego Bio and was previously a Board Member at Startup Foundation from January 2017 to December 2019. Maija has also served as the Chief Innovation Officer at Gold&Green Foods Ltd from September 2020 to February 2022 and as the CEO and Co-founder of Gold&Green Foods Ltd from August 2015 to September 2020. Prior to that, they were the VP of Design and Brand at Powermat from May 2013 to July 2015. In 2010, Maija was awarded the Innovation Leader of 2010 in Finland by Microsoft and Innovation Management Officer. Maija also served as the CMO at Powerkiss from September 2011 to May 2013 and as the CEO of Powerkiss from October 2008 to September 2011. Maija began their career as a Designer at d-Switch from January 2007 to December 2007 and later became the Design Manager at d-Switch from March 2008 to December 2008. Maija also served as the coordinator for the International Design Business Management (IDBM) program at Helsinki School of Economics from January 2007 to December 2007.

Maija Itkonen has a Master of Arts in Industrial and Strategic Design from the Taideteollinen korkeakoulu - Konstindustriella högskolan / University of Art and Design Helsinki. In addition, they have an IDBM in International Design Business Management from the Helsinki School of Economics and another IDBM in Product development from the Aalto University School of Science and Technology.
