Tommi Kotila

Tommi Kotila is a Senior Scientist at Onego Bio, with a comprehensive background in biochemistry and molecular biology spanning over a decade. Previously, Tommi held positions at HiLIFE – Helsinki Institute of Life Science at the University of Helsinki, starting as a Doctoral Researcher from June 2016 to November 2022, where the thesis investigated the role of cyclase-associated protein in actin dynamics. Tommi transitioned to a Postdoctoral Researcher role shortly before joining Onego Bio. Additional experience includes serving as an Examiner of Entrance Examinations at the Faculty of Biological and Environmental Sciences, and various research assistant roles at the University of Oulu and the Institute of Biotechnology. Tommi earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from the University of Helsinki, complemented by a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Oulu.
