Velu Subramani is a seasoned professional in chemical engineering with extensive experience in catalysis and process design for the production of hydrogen. Currently serving as a Chemical Engineering Specialist at OneH2, Inc. since July 2025, Velu provides technical leadership in high-pure hydrogen production. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Engineer at BayoTech On-Site Hydrogen, where Velu led R&D and Pilot Plant testing for small-scale hydrogen production systems from April 2021 to June 2025, and significant contributions at bp from October 2007 to January 2021 as a Principal Engineer focused on low-carbon fuels and catalysis. Earlier, Velu held a position as Research Scientist and Catalysis Team Lead at RTI International between October 2004 and October 2007, leading projects that resulted in patent filings and commercialization of advanced catalysis technologies. Velu holds a Ph.D. in Heterogeneous Catalysis from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, along with multiple advanced degrees and certifications in related fields.
