Lucian Cesca has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Lucian started their career as a Research Programmer at Carnegie Mellon University, where they worked on projects related to classifying web traffic to internet phishing sites and studying the effectiveness of standardized privacy notices.

Lucian then joined Epic Systems as a Technical Services Engineer, where they provided customer support and developed data analysis tools and internal web applications to improve customer performance.

After that, Lucian worked at TermSync, Inc. as a Software Developer, where they developed a SaaS application for managing and automating accounts receivable and post-sale communication. Lucian used technologies like Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Amazon EC2.

Lucian then joined healthfinch as a Senior Software Engineer before moving to Apple, where they held roles as a Web Application Engineer in OS Data Analytics and later as a Senior Software Engineer in Maps Infrastructure Tooling.

Lucian then joined Argo AI as a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead, where they built and automated large scale Kubernetes deployments and job management infrastructure for testing their self-driving technology. Lucian later served as a Software Engineer in Offboard Cloud Platform.

After Argo AI, Lucian joined Atlas and served as the Head of Engineering and Founding Engineer. Their responsibilities included leading the engineering team and developing tools for collaboration and document management.

Currently, Lucian is working at Hydra (YC W22) as the Lead Platform Engineer. Lucian is leading the design and development of an automated PostgreSQL cluster deployment platform and originated CI/CD patterns and processes.

Throughout their career, Lucian has demonstrated strong technical skills and leadership abilities in various software engineering and technical roles.

Lucian Cesca completed their undergraduate education from 2006 to 2010 at Carnegie Mellon University. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics.
