Matthew Irish

Matthew Irish serves as the Vice Chairman and managing director of government relations at O'Neill and Associates since October 2003, where responsibilities include developing and implementing public affairs strategies for clients at municipal and state levels. Previously, Matthew held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for State Senator Steven A. Tolman from 1996 to 2003, managing legislative, budgetary, personnel, and administrative matters while acting as the media spokesman. Earlier experience includes serving as a Press Assistant in the office of U.S. Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle from 1995 to 1996. Matthew's academic background includes a Master of Science in Public Affairs from UMass Boston, a Master's degree in Modern Irish History from Boston College, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
