Michael Muñoz Romero

Michael (Yipeng) Mu is a skilled finance professional with experience in various analytical and investment roles. Currently serving as a Fixed Income Analyst at SMIF UCI since October 2024, Michael also holds the position of Investment Banking Analyst at Applied Investment Research Group. Recognized as a 2024 Wall Street Direct Scholar with Wall Street Bound, Inc., and having recently completed a Research Assistant role at UC Irvine's School of Social Sciences, Michael has diverse experience, including an Investment Summer Analyst stint at Fengbo Huifu Investment Management Co. and a Business Analyst role at Morris Moo Inc. Michael’s background also includes project management as a Project Management Executive Intern at Chinese Union (VITA Global) and leadership in strategic development at Scholars of Finance. Academically, Michael is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics and Accounting at UC Irvine, following a high school diploma from Arnold O. Beckman High School and a summer program at Cornell University in 2020.
