Matthew Nelson

Matthew Nelson is an experienced manager with a strong background in reliability engineering and operations within the natural gas industry, currently serving as Manager - Reliability at ONEOK since August 2013. Nelson oversees the reliability of two natural gas pipelines, managing over 600 miles of pipeline and eleven compressor stations, and has previously held roles as Operations Supervisor and Operations Engineer (Project Manager) focused on pipeline operations and project management. Prior experience includes serving in the US Army Corps of Engineers as Observer Controller Team Chief, where Nelson managed a team to train deploying soldiers, and as Brigade Assistant Operations Officer and Engineer Company Commander, coordinating operations and training for over 2,000 soldiers. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Science in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
