Guilherme Morais

Guilherme Morais has a wealth of experience in data science and engineering. Guilherme most recently served as a Senior Data Science Engineer at Onera Health since 2022. Before that, they were a Data Specialist at Loggi since 2021. From 2018 to 2021, they were a Data Scientist and Team Lead at Hospital Albert Einstein. From 2013 to 2017, they held two roles at NIRx Medical Technologies, as a Development Engineer and a Territory Manager for South America. In 2017, they were a Research Associate for Machine Learning at Universitätsklinikum Tübingen, where they were responsible for clinical applications of machine learning towards brain-computer interfaces, data preprocessing, hyperparameter tuning and model selection, and statistical analysis translated to visualizations to ensure outcomes reliability. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Research Collaborator for Data Analysis at Universidade Federal do ABC, where they were responsible for experimental design, statistical analysis, research, and data visualization, and the development of a publicly available toolbox with 100 literature citations. Guilherme also wrote ten peer-reviewed publications, two of which they were the first-author. In 2012, they completed a Master's Thesis in Machine Learning at Technische Universität Berlin. From 2009 to 2012, they were an Undergraduate Researcher for Neural Networks at Escola Politécnica da USP, where they worked on artificial neural networks and learning machines, and developed an interface to simulate spiking neurons modeled upon the Izhikevich model.

Guilherme Morais obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Systems Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP between 2007 and 2012. Guilherme then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano between 2010 and 2012.
