Sergio Pizziol

Sergio Pizziol is a Research Engineer at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, specializing in safety for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and regulatory follow-up since April 2023. Concurrently, Sergio serves as a Vacataire at ENAC and ISAE, focusing on drone systems and flight dynamics. Previously, Sergio held roles including Flight Control Engineer and Operations Manager at BOREAL SAS, where responsibilities included flight control system design and operations. A PhD holder in human-machine interaction, obtained from EDSYS, Sergio has also conducted research at NASA Ames Research Center and worked on aviation projects at AVIO and Sagem. With a solid educational foundation in aeronautical and aerospace engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma and ISAE-SUPAERO, Sergio combines extensive practical experience with a robust academic background in the field.
