Sergio Waitman

Sergio Waitman is an accomplished research engineer currently working at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab since June 2021. Previous roles include research associate at the University of Bath from May 2020 to June 2021 and research fellow at the University of Exeter from August 2019 to May 2020, along with a research associate position at the University of Bristol from October 2017 to July 2019, contributing to the FLEXOP project focused on flexible-wing aircraft control laws. Sergio completed a PhD in Systems and Control at Université de Lyon from 2014 to 2018, following an engineer's degree in Control and Automation Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2007 to 2014, and an engineering technology degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon from 2009 to 2011. Prior experience includes internships in automation engineering at Tetra Pak and at ONERA's Department of Systems Control and Flight Dynamics.
