Michael Castro

Michael Castro is a partner at OneSeventeen Media. Prior to that, they were the director of the Lost Creek Municpal District from May 2010 to December 2018. In that role, they served as President and Treasurer and oversaw the redevelopment of the LC MUD website to a new responsive design. Michael also worked with the City of Austin staff to implement a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Lost Creek which transferred water service and facilitated annexation. After annexation, they worked to transition the district from a Municipal Utility District and Water Utility to a Limited District.

Prior to their work with Lost Creek, Michael was with Sybilmedia and Sunset Direct, where they served as CIO. At Sunset Direct, they oversaw all IT and Data services, including the management of up to 15 employees. Michael also managed the company's web presence and e-commerce growth during its expansion from 30 to 350 employees.

Their manager is Beth Carls, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Pam Heller - Content & Training Director, Darci Bechen-Terry - Creative Director & Illustrator, and Amy Looper - Co-Founder & COO.
