Catherine Fogliano

Catherine "Cathy" Fogliano serves on the Board of Directors at OneShare Health. She has more than 30 years of experience in executive management as well as establishing and expanding startup companies into the marketplace. An expert in telehealth, Cathy helped introduce “Connected Health” to the national health care marketplace. Following her successful career as President and Founder of her own insurance brokerage and consulting firm, Fogliano & Associates, Fogliano dedicated herself to the telemedicine industry in 2004. During this time, she became the first sales and marketing executive for the industry’s only publicly traded company, Teladoc Inc. While at Teladoc, Cathy served as Executive Vice President; her responsibilities included operations, product enhancement, systems, developing contracts, and working directly with state regulatory entities. Her chief accomplishments included growing Teladoc’s membership base to two million, establishing sales and client management departments, and creating pricing models that are still relevant to the industry today. Years later, and following her “passion for serving others in need,” Cathy left Teladoc to bring telehealth to the people of South Africa. Through a partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, she pursued a feasibility study to create a sustainable business on a social and economic level. Soon after, GlobalMed South Africa was established, for which Cathy served as both Founder and CEO. Upon returning to Texas, she co-founded a health care analytics company, Averify, to reduce health care spend for self-funded employers. Today, Cathy said her life's mission is to help others, citing the motto “Love what you do and do what you love!” as the driving force behind her work.
