Birju Patel has built their career in the healthcare industry, starting as a Resident in Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2013. Birju then became a Physician at Southern California Permanente Medical Group from 2016 to 2019. Following this, they transitioned to Stanford Health Care as a Clinical Informatics Fellow until 2021. Birju then worked as an Informatics consultant at Atropos Health in 2021 before joining Google Health as a Clinical Specialist, where they worked until 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Clinical Informatics at Vytalize Health.
Birju Patel obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from The Johns Hopkins University in 2008. Birju then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2011-2012. Subsequently, they graduated with a Medical Doctor (MD) degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2013. Additionally, Birju has obtained several certifications in various fields, including TensorFlow Developer Certificate and Board Certification in Clinical Informatics.
