Sanjeya Cooray

Sanjeya Cooray has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. They currently work as a Senior Software Engineer and Big Data & Cloud engineer at OneTag since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BOOM as a Senior Software Engineer and Backend Engineer from November 2021 to November 2022.

Before joining BOOM, they worked at OITECH as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Leader from June 2020 to November 2021. They also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at OITECH from October 2019 to November 2021.

In 2019, Sanjeya Cooray worked at Thales as a Software Engineer and Consultant. Their role involved developing airports' management tools for cost optimization using machine learning and various technologies such as Angular, Spring Boot, Spark, Flink, and ElasticSearch.

From 2010 to 2019, they worked at Magenta srl as a Fullstack Web Developer and Software engineer. Their projects focused on airports' management and auditing tools, as well as big data architectures for smart cities and airports.

Sanjeya Cooray also gained experience as an R&D Software Engineer at Alstom from 2016 to 2018, working as a freelance developer. They started their career at Studio Marino Merlo as a Perito Informatico and PLC and Software Developer from 2008 to 2010.

Sanjeya Cooray obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Università degli Studi di Firenze in 2016. Before that, they completed their college education in Computer Science at Istituto Tecnico Industriale - S.Fedi in 2008.
