Joe Cursons

Joe Cursons is a computational biologist and bioinformatician with extensive experience in the field. Joe currently serves as the Director of Computational Biology & Bioinformatics at oNKo-Innate Pty Ltd since 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Research Officer at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research from 2017 to 2019. Joe also held positions at the University of Melbourne, serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2015 to 2017 and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2012 to 2015.

Joe Cursons attended The University of Auckland from 2003 to 2006, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education at the same institution from 2007 to 2012, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the same field.
