Senior Director of Design Innovation at Online Optimism

As Senior Director of Design Innovation at Online Optimism, Juan Pablo (JP) leads all design projects from website development to brand identity creation. He takes creative approaches to make information simple and accessible while ensuring consistency and aesthetics. Since joining Online Optimism, he has launched dozens of websites for clients across the country and proudly created materials, such as infographics and animations, for clients in a variety of industries, including government, non-profit, hospitality, and medical.

Prior to joining the company, Juan Pablo’s devotion to higher education and soft drinks led him to roles at the University of New Orleans’ Marketing and Communications department, where he ran the production of University advertising; and at PepsiCo’s Latin American operation, where he headed the creative plan for Mountain Dew’s launch at quick-service restaurants in the region. His passion for design and technology has led him to be featured in The Los Angeles Times, New Orleans CityBusiness, and Technical.ly DC.

Juan Pablo is originally from Guatemala City and earned a B.S. in Marketing from the University of New Orleans. As a native Spanish speaker, he brings the opportunity for the company to help the clients reach Hispanic audiences. When he’s not designing at the office, JP is usually at the Apple Store or at home watching Friends.
