Irene Strikkers

Irene Strikkers has a diverse work experience with various roles in different companies. Irene started their career as a Student-Assistant at Radboud University Nijmegen, where they worked in the fields of Art History and First Language Acquisition. Irene then gained experience as an Intern at Expertisecentrum Nederlands and as a Tutor at Bijlesnetwerk.

Later, Irene worked at Cito as an Educationalist and Test Writer, and as an Assessor of Writing Skills. Irene also worked as a Didactic Consultant at Stichting Childtuition/Nicotopia and as a Research Assistant at Expertisecentrum Nederlands, focusing on Science and Technology.

In 2015, Irene joined Radboud University, where they served as a Teaching/Research Assistant in the field of First Language Acquisition.

Irene's career took a shift in 2016 when they joined Yoast BV. Irene started as a Linguist and focused on content checks to improve readability for users. Irene then transitioned into a Web Developer role, working on readability checks and a linking tool. Irene went on to become a Team Lead for various departments, including the Plugin Team and the Gutenberg Integration Team. Irene also served as a Development Manager and a member of the Management Team. Irene'sfinal role at Yoast BV was Head of R&D.

Currently, Irene works as a Data Insight Expert at Online Dialogue, starting in 2023.

Irene Strikkers has a diverse education history. Irene attended Sint-Janslyceum from 2004 to 2010, where they completed their Pre-University Secondary Education (Gymnasium) degree with a focus on Culture & Society. Following this, from 2010 to 2013, they enrolled at Radboud University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Language and Culture Studies with a specialization in the Linguistics track. After completing their bachelor's degree, Irene pursued further education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2013 to 2014. There, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Applied Linguistics. In 2015, Irene briefly attended El Camino College, studying Anthropology for one year.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Irene Strikkers obtained the Google Analytics Individual Qualification certification from Google in January 2023.
