Grant Smith is Onna’s Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for leading Onna’s global sales teams, with a focus on market expansion and revenue growth.

Smith joins Onna from Platform9 Systems, where led the global go-to-market organization, responsible for the teams and associated strategies across sales, pre-sales, channel relationships, business development, and revenue focused customer operations. Prior to joining Platform9, Grant managed the enterprise sales business in the Western US for SecureWorks, a global leader in the MSSP space and division of Dell Technologies. Prior to this role, he held various sales, sales leadership, and operational roles at EMC Enterprise Content Management Division.

Out of work Grant is a passionate skier, cyclist and enjoys spending time with his family.

Brett Strassman is the current Head of Finance at [Onna](/org/onna), and has previously held the same position at Broadlume and [TodayTix](/org/todaytix). Brett has also worked as Director, Financial and Investment Analysis at TD. Brett has a wealth of experience in finance and operations, and has been instrumental in helping [Onna](/org/onna) grow into the successful company it is today.

Salim Elkhou is CEO of Onna and founded the company in 2015 when he realized that a technology-based solution was needed to address the growing ‘discovery’ problem at scale. Throughout his career, Salim identified a gap with the rise in popularity of cloud-based and hosted enterprise apps. He saw that knowledge quickly becomes fragmented, making search between applications manual and time-consuming, and slowing down overall performance and productivity. Risk and compliance issues get tougher too, especially given the fact that many governments are strengthening regulations. So, Salim started Onna with a mission to make the totality of people and organizations’ proprietary knowledge accessible, useful, and secure.

Andy Mallinger is the current Vice President of Product Platform at [Onna](/org/onna). Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Product Management at [Carbonite](/org/carbonite) from September 2019 to December 2019. There, they oversaw the integration of [Carbonite](/org/carbonite) and Webroot consumer solutions. They also managed a $250M annual revenue portfolio that included 30 products of mobile and desktop apps, SaaS services, SDKs sold direct and via channels. 

From September 2019 to December 2021, Andy Mallinger served as the Vice President of Product at [OpenText](/org/opentext). There, they continued the planning and executing the integration of [Carbonite](/org/carbonite) and Webroot solutions while looking for synergies between [OpenText](/org/opentext) technology and markets within their Guidance Security portfolio. As Vice President of Product, they managed a $250M annual revenue portfolio that grew 15% YOY and contributed 80% of corporate EBITDA. This portfolio included over 30 products of SaaS services, mobile, and desktop apps, and SDKs sold direct and via channels.

Jose Lazares joined with more than 20 years of experience in building, delivering, and selling cloud-based software and technology platforms. In his previous role as Senior Vice President of Product Management and Innovation for [Intapp](/org/intapp), Jose developed and led the company’s industry cloud product and platform strategy. His dedicated leadership to [Intapp](/org/intapp)’s vision helped scale the business from $50 million in revenue to over $200 million in less than five years and guided the company through several product launches, acquisitions, and a successful IPO. Jose has also led product development and go-to-market teams for Cisco Systems, [Thismoment](/org/thismoment), [Avid Technology](/org/avid-technology), and Oracle, with a focus on building integration, process, and automation platforms.

Jose earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA in Marketing and Supply Chain from [Harvard Business School](/org/harvard-business-school).

Jordi Pedrol is the current CFO at [Onna](/org/onna). Prior to this, they were with Nina Capital, [Kompyte](/org/kompyte), Landbot.io, and Redtrust (acquired by [Keyfactor](/org/keyfactor)). Jordi has also been with [SummuS Render](/org/summus-render), Metrix Partners, and [Agile Content](/org/agile-content). Jordi has also served as a financial advisor for [ForceManager](/org/forcemanager).

Nicole Thompson is currently the Head of Partnerships at [Onna](/org/onna). Nicole has over seven years of experience working in various roles in the field of communications and user experience design. Nicole got their start in the hospitality industry, working as a Communications Manager for EP Business in Hospitality from 2013 to 2015. In this role, Nicole was responsible for managing all aspects of the company's communication strategy, including developing and implementing marketing plans, overseeing social media accounts, and creating content for the company website. 

In 2015, Nicole decided to further their education and enrolled in a User Experience Design program at [General Assembly](/org/general-assembly). After completing the 10-week program, Nicole began working as an Experience Designer & Strategist at Intelligent Mobile, where they worked for over a year before joining [Onna](/org/onna). Nicole has also participated in a leadership development program at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and completed an internship in analytical chemistry at Qteros, Inc.

Nicole Thompson has a B.A. in Psychology from [Boston University](/org/boston-university) and certification from [Coursera](/org/coursera) in Gamification.

Emoke heads up [Onna](/org/onna)'s Global People Team. She has overall responsibility for the company’s Human Resources function and relocated to Barcelona from San Francisco, where she was living for the last few years.

Emoke joined [Onna](/org/onna) from [Workday](/org/workday), where she was most recently Senior People and Purpose Partner with overall responsibility for HR within her aligned business units globally –– including Global Expansions, Enterprise Business Technology, Enterprise Program Portfolio Office, and Emerging Services. Before [Workday](/org/workday), Emoke was VP of People at [Benchling](/org/benchling) where she built the HR function from scratch during a period of hyper-growth for the company. Previous roles have included senior HR positions at [Prezi](/org/prezi), and Cisco Systems.

Originally from Romania, Emoke has a license in Psychology and started her career working for non-profit organizations, before pivoting to HR and leading the function for Financial Services companies in Romania. When not at work, Emoke enjoys staying physically active, cooking, and attempting DIY projects that involve power tools.

Shannon Smith leads Onna’s engineering organization in developing scalable software, systems and processes to support the growth of Onna’s Knowledge Integration Platform. He also oversees security and IT operations for Onna.

Shannon has 17+ years of experience working with both startup and enterprise software companies, leading teams to deliver high quality software products. Prior to joining Onna, Shannon was Director of Engineering Operations and Quality at K4Connect. He previously led teams within the research and development division of SAS Institute.

Shannon has a passion for helping others discover, develop and utilize their skills, while building company cultures that value learning and growth. Outside of Onna, Shannon is also the founder and executive director of Dynamic Water, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing local, clean water access to communities in need.
