Markhus (Duke) Lacroix is an experienced professional in athletics and mental health, currently serving as an Athlete Mental Health Specialist at Onrise and holding the position of Vice President at the USL Players Association. Lacroix actively participates on the Board of Directors for the USL Players Association, contributing to the structure, vision, and Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations impacting over 600 members. As a Professional Soccer Player for Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, Lacroix also engages in initiatives addressing race-related issues as Vice President of the United Black Players of the USL, organizing community soccer clinics and fundraising efforts. Additionally, Lacroix co-founded Walkway Academy, a mentorship program for student-athletes, and has extensive experience as a professional soccer player and coach, complemented by an educational background in Sociology and ongoing studies in Sport and Performance Psychology.
