Michael Nyp has had a diverse work experience in the medical field. Michael is currently serving as the Medical Director of NICU at Mercy Fort Smith for Onsite Neonatal Partners, Inc. Before this role, they held various positions at Children's Mercy Hospital, including Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and Associate Director of the Donald W. Thibeault Neonatal Research Laboratory.

Michael Nyp has a strong educational background in the medical field. Michael completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Sport Science at Colorado State University from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they attended Kansas City University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. During this time, they also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Rockhurst University, graduating in 2005.

After completing their medical degrees, Michael Nyp pursued further specialization in their field. Michael attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2005 to 2009, where they completed an Internal Medicine/Pediatric Combined Residency program. Michael then continued their education at Children's Mercy- Kansas City from 2009 to 2012, where they undertook a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship.

In addition to their educational achievements, Michael Nyp also holds several certifications. In 2009, they obtained board certification in Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics and obtained board certification in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. In 2014, they obtained board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine from the American Board of Pediatrics.

Dr. Jerry Hric founded Onsite Neonatal Partners in 1996, ensuring access to premiere neonatal care in community hospitals. Our physician-led organization prioritizes safety, effectiveness, and the practice of evidence-based medicine in each of our Neonatal Intensive Care Units and Special Care Nurseries across the country. With a unique model that places neonatologists in hospitals 24 hours a day, we are able to improve the quality of care and reduce the risk for premature or otherwise fragile infants. This has proven to be better not only for infants but for parents, obstetricians, hospitals—and our own neonatologists too.
