Dale Hartzell has a long and varied work experience. Dale began their career in 1985 at AT&T Bell Labs in various engineering, marketing, product, and project management roles. In 1994, they moved to US West as Director of R&D Program Management. In 1995, they became Custom Solution Manager at IBM Global Services / Advantis. In 1997, they worked as Manager of Deployment and Sales Engineering at Lightbridge. In 1998, they were Senior Product Manager at Carrier Access Corp. From 2001 to 2010, they were Vice President of Marketing and OEM at Nvoq (SandCherry, Inc.). From 2010 to 2012, they were General Manager of Mobile at I-Behavior, where they implemented ways for mobile advertising to incorporate behavioral targeting data to improve results for advertisers. In 2013, they became an Instructor of High Performance Driver's Education at Porsche Club of America. Since 2012, they have been COO of Mobile Audience Intelligence at OnSpot Data, where they have been responsible for corporate and product strategy and implementation. Dale has linked over 500 million mobile devices to household and individual data while protecting the privacy of mobile users.

Dale Hartzell's education history includes attending the Illinois Institute of Technology from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a BS in CS. Dale then attended Northwestern University from 1988 to 1990, but did not obtain a degree. Dale also attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, completing an Executive mini-MBA Program, and Harvard University, completing a Program on Negotiation.
