Shane Smith

Shane Smith has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Shane currently holds the position of Director of Data Governance at Ontada since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Ameren where they held multiple roles related to data governance, including Manager of Data Governance and Data Governance Lead. Shane was responsible for implementing data governance strategies and improving the overall quality and usability of data at the company. Before Ameren, Shane worked at MasterCard, where they served as a Business Rules Manager and Business Rules Analyst, focusing on conforming to laws, regulations, and data usage controls. Earlier in their career, they worked at Citi as a Project Manager and Business Rules Architect, and at Lucent Technologies as an Inside Sales Technical Specialist. Shane also has experience in sales and management roles at Circuit City. Shane began their career as a Senior Law Clerk at Dubail Judge, P.C. Law.

Shane Smith completed their Bachelor of Business Management degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Webster University in 1999. In November 2015, they obtained an IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from ITSM Academy/DevOps Campus.
