Avesta Goodarzi

Avesta Goodarzi, Ph.D., is a seasoned expert in automotive engineering, currently serving as the Steer-by-Wire Senior Technical Leader at General Motors since July 2018, where the focus includes inventing and developing technologies for electric and autonomous vehicles. Additionally, Avesta is a Senior External Reviewer at the Ontario Centre of Innovation, responsible for evaluating automotive R&D applications. Previous experience includes a tenure as a Research Professor at the University of Waterloo, leading multidisciplinary projects in next-generation vehicles, and founding CARmonizer, a technology startup. With a background as a Professor in Automotive Engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology and experience as a Research and Development Engineer at Kia Motors Corporation, Avesta possesses extensive knowledge in advanced automotive technologies. Avesta earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology from 1996 to 2001.
