Deena Hamzawi is an experienced pharmacy professional currently serving as a Pharmacy Practice Consultant at the Ontario College of Pharmacists since February 2023. Previously, Deena worked as a pharmacist with the Ontario Ministry of Health from October 2021 to February 2023, focusing on the Exceptional Access Program. Deena's experience also includes a role at the University Health Network in solid organ transplantation from 2018 to October 2021, and founding Relief Buddy Inc., a tech start-up aimed at transforming pharmacy relief logistics, from May 2016 to January 2019. Additionally, Deena served as a Pharmacy Clinical Instructor at the University of Toronto from December 2013 to December 2018 and worked as a pharmacist at Wal-Mart Canada and Shoppers Drug Mart in 2011. Deena holds Bachelor’s degrees in Pharmacy from the University of Toronto and Biomedicine from the University of Ottawa.
