Muneeb Chaudhary, CPA, CMA has an extensive work experience spanning over several years. Currently, they serve as the Chief Financial Officer at Ontario Financing Authority since August 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) as a Professional Experience Program (PEP) Facilitator starting from January 2022.
From May 2022 to August 2022, Muneeb Chaudhary held the position of Director, Science and Research at Colleges and Universities | Collèges et Universités.
Before transitioning to their current positions, Chaudhary worked at ONeconomy | ÉconomieON in various roles. From September 2019 to May 2022, they were the Director, Business Planning and Finance. Prior to this, they served as the Manager and Team Lead for Business and Fiscal Planning departments. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Business Analyst for Fiscal Planning and started their career there as a Junior Financial Analyst under the Ontario Internship Program.
Outside of their finance and accounting roles, Chaudhary also contributed as a Board Member at Operation Groundswell from January 2018 to September 2019.
Muneeb Chaudhary, CPA, CMA completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree in Accounting and Finance at the Ted Rogers School of Management - Toronto Metropolitan University from 2008 to 2013. In 2013, they pursued a Certificate in Conversational French from the University of Toronto. Furthermore, Muneeb Chaudhary obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant (CPA, CMA) certification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) in July 2015.
Ontario Financing Authority
The Ontario Financing Authority (OFA) was established as an agency of the Crown on November 15, 1993 by the Capital Investment Plan Act, 1993 (the Act). In accordance with the Act, the OFA: • conducts borrowing, investment and financial risk management for the Province of Ontario (the Province); • manages the Provincial debt; • manages the Province's key financial relationships with investors, financial institutions, rating agencies and public bodies; • provides centralized financial services for the Province including banking and cash management; • advises ministries, Crown agencies and other public bodies on financial policies and projects; • assists Crown agencies and other public bodies to borrow and invest money; • acts at the direction of the Province in lending to certain public bodies; • invests on behalf of some public bodies; • with Ontario Power Generation Inc. (OPG), manages the investment activities of OPG’s Used Fuel Segregated Fund and Decommissioning Segregated Fund; and • carries out the day-to-day operations of Ontario Electricity Financial Corporation (OEFC) and provides a broad range of financial services to Infrastructure Ontario. In addition, the OFA’s objects include: • providing such other financial services as are considered advantageous to the Province or any public body; and • any additional objects as directed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
