Hazim Hassan has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Hazim started their career as the Associate Director of Enterprise Solutions at Bell in 2007 and then moved to the Mississauga Halton CCAC as a Manager in 2009. In 2012, they joined the Ontario Hospital Association as a Program Manager for the Capital Procurement Cooperative, and later became the Vice President of Business Planning & Strategy and President of OHA Legacy Fund in 2015. During their tenure at the OHA, Hazim provided senior leadership to multiple teams and oversaw the full business planning cycle. In 2013, they also served as the Executive Director at the Prism Eye Institute, where they led a team of healthcare professionals and facilitated the delivery of clinical and surgical eye care services. Furthermore, Hazim has been an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto's Masters of Health Science in Health Administration program since 2018.
Hazim Hassan is currently a Doctor of Public Health student at the University of Toronto, where they began their studies in 2021 and will graduate in 2025. Prior to that, they attended Harvard Business School from 2014 to 2015, where they pursued a degree in Managing Healthcare Delivery in the field of Health/Health Care Administration/Management. In 2003, they completed their Master of Business Administration with a focus on Strategic Business Management at McMaster University, a program they attended from 2003 to 2006. Before that, they studied Undergraduate Business with a specialization in Strategic Management at McMaster University from 1999 to 2003, where they achieved Dean's Honor List recognition for their academic performance. Additionally, Hazim has an unspecified educational experience in Investment Strategies and Portfolio Management, which took place at The Wharton School.
