Melinda Moore

Senior Manager, Corporate Governance and Enterprise Risk at Ontario Hospital Association

Melinda Moore has extensive experience in corporate governance and administrative roles. Melinda began their career at The United Church of Canada in 1994, where they worked as the Coordinator of Administrative Services at the General Council Office for almost a decade. In 2003, they joined Parc Downsview Park Inc. as the Corporate Secretary, a role they held until 2007. From 2008 to 2010, Melinda worked as the Corporate Secretary at Ornge. Their most recent position was at the Ontario Hospital Association, where they started in 2010 as a Manager of Corporate Governance and later became the Senior Manager of Corporate Governance and Enterprise Risk. In this role, they provided expert governance advice and services to the Board of the OHA and its associated entities.

Melinda Moore's education history starts with their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Urban Geography, which they obtained from York University from 1984 to 1989. Melinda further pursued their education at the same university's Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, earning another Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Urban Studies from 1990 to 1995.

In 2015 to 2017, Melinda pursued a Diploma in Health Care Management at the Ontario Hospital Association. Melinda then continued their education at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, where they obtained an Enterprise Risk Management Certificate from 2018 to 2021.

Alongside their formal education, Melinda has also obtained several certifications. In 2007, they became an Accredited Director (Acc.Dir.) through The Chartered Governance Institute of Canada. In 2011, they achieved the title of Fellow (FCG) from the same institution. Most recently, in June 2021, Melinda obtained a certification in Enterprise Risk Management from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
