Christine Williams

Christine Williams has extensive experience in the field of cancer research and policy. Christine currently serves as the Executive Director of the Canadian Pediatric Cancer Consortium at The Hospital for Sick Children. Prior to this, they held the role of Executive Vice President and Head of Implementation Science at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, where they played a crucial role in running the organization's programs and overseeing its functions. Christine also served as the Deputy Director at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research.

Before their time at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, Christine held various positions at the Canadian Cancer Society, including Chief Mission Officer & Scientific Director, Vice President of Research and Policy, and Director of Research. During their tenure there, they oversaw the organization's research strategy and investments and played a key role in cancer control policy work.

Christine also has experience at the National Cancer Institute of Canada as an Assistant Director of Research. Additionally, they worked as a Research Fellow/Instructor at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University and as a PhD student at Sick Kids Hospital/University of Toronto.

Christine Williams completed their education in a chronological order. Christine started their academic journey in 1988 at Queen's University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science in 1992. Moving forward, they pursued a higher level of education at the University of Toronto, where they completed their PhD in Immunology from 1993 to 1999. Continuing their academic pursuits, they engaged in a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University from 2000 to 2005, specializing in Developmental Biology.
