Denis Yuen

Denis Yuen is a Senior Software Developer at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research since April 2012, specializing in DNA sequencing analysis through the SeqWare Pipeline and Youxia software. Previously, Denis served as a Bioinformatics Software Developer, contributing to various projects including Bindle and the SeqWare Query Engine, and has a strong background in continuous integration and cloud provisioning. Before joining the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, Denis worked as a Research Programmer at Bioinformatics Solutions Inc., where responsibilities included developing analytical tools and coordinating special projects. Earlier experience includes a role at the National Research Council developing machine learning modules, and tutoring computer science at the University of Waterloo. Denis holds a Master of Mathematics in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computer Science with a focus on Bioinformatics, both from the University of Waterloo.
