Tom Ouellette is a PhD Candidate in Computational Biology at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, with a focus on using machine learning and single-molecule technology to explore cancer's evolution and ecology in the Awadalla Lab. Prior to this role, Tom gained valuable research experience as a Research Student in Genome Evolution at the University of British Columbia, worked in pharmacogenomics at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute, and engaged in pharmacodynamics research at Cannevert Therapeutics. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Pharmacology and a Minor in Biology from the University of British Columbia, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto, expected to complete in 2024.
