Omar Islam

Omar Islam is an accomplished academic and healthcare professional serving as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Queen's University since July 2001. In addition to various leadership roles including Interim Head and Section Head of Neuroradiology, Omar Islam is co-Editor in Chief of the Portable MRI Journal. Engagement with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as an examiner and roles within the Connected Minds CFREF, Medicotec, Rytol Pharma, and the Ontario Medical Association highlight Omar Islam's commitment to advancing medical technology and social health initiatives. Educational background includes a Fellowship in Neuroradiology from Yale University School of Medicine and multiple degrees from Queen's University and the University of Toronto.
