Anu Lokre has extensive experience in labor relations and anti-oppression initiatives. Currently serving as an Anti-Racism & Anti-Oppression Specialist at the Ontario Nurses' Association since June 2006, Anu also held the position of Labour Relations Assistant. In the past, Anu was an elected member of the negotiating team for SEIU Local 2 Brewery General & Professional Workers Union from January 2019 to February 2024 and served as Vice-President Elect for Support Staff at SEIU Local 2 BGPWU from January 2007 to December 2019. Anu's educational background includes studies at Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies from 1991 to 1993.

The Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) is a proactive union committed to improving the economic welfare and quality of work-life for our members, to enable them to provide high-quality health care. Founded in 1973, the Ontario Nurses’ Association (ONA) is the trade union that represents 60,000 registered nurses and allied health professionals working throughout Ontario, including: hospitals community health long-term care public health clinics industry Each facility represented by ONA has a Bargaining Unit President that oversees union activities within that facility. The provincial organization is divided into Locals, which is headed by a Local Coordinator. Bargaining Unit Presidents as well as Local Coordinators are ONA members, and are members' best source of information as it pertains to their facility.
