Andy Beaton

Andy Beaton is an experienced hydrologist currently working at Ontario Power Generation since September 2023. In addition, Andy Beaton serves as an Analytical Hydrologist at the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, a position held since June 2022. Prior roles include Surface Water Analyst and Water Budget Data Analyst with the Ministry of Natural Resources, as well as Geomatics Analytical Tech and Water Resource Management Tech within the same ministry from May 2008 to September 2010. Andy Beaton holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from Trent University, completed between 2015 and 2023, a Master of Applied Science in Water Resource Engineering from the University of Guelph (2010-2012), and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography and Geographic Information Systems from the University of Toronto (2002-2006).
