Marina Ibrahim

Senior Plant Engineer/officer (mech)

Marina Ibrahim is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in the energy and aerospace sectors. As a Senior Plant Engineer/Officer at Ontario Power Generation since November 2025, Marina leads engineering initiatives. Previously, Marina worked at MDA on the Canadarm 2 project, and served as a Mechanical Design Engineer at GE Renewable Energy, Field Aviation, and Voith Hydro, focusing on turbine design and aircraft structural engineering. Marina's career began as a Mechanical Engineering Research and Teaching Assistant while pursuing a Master's degree at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport. Academic qualifications include a Master of Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport.
