Sarah Hunter

Sarah Hunter is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in education, community development, and organizational leadership. Currently serving as a Special Advisor at the Ontario Provincial Police since August 2025, Sarah focuses on enhancing organizational culture through strategic advice on leadership, training, and equity. Concurrently, Sarah has been with Georgian College since August 2011, holding various roles including Faculty Research Lead and Professor, where community-based research and innovative learning strategies are a priority. As an Adjunct Professor at Lakehead University, responsibilities include designing and delivering educational courses. Additionally, Sarah contributes as a Board Member for the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and has a rich background in mindfulness education and community wellness initiatives with Mindfulness Without Borders. Sarah holds a PhD in Educational Sustainability and multiple degrees in education and sociology.
