Elena Carroll

Elena Carroll is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Director of Cyber Security at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan since July 2025. Previously, Elena held the position of Director of Information Security and Chief Information Security Officer at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP from July 2023 to June 2025. Prior roles include Director of Cybersecurity Services Innovation and Director of Security Operations at CANARIE from January 2022 to July 2023, and various positions at CIBC from March 2018 to January 2022, culminating as Director of Fusion Threat Intelligence. Elena developed a comprehensive Cyber Threat Intelligence program at CIBC and led incident response efforts, ensuring effective risk management and reporting. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Toronto, completed between 2005 and 2011.
