Chief Risk Officer at Ontario Teachers'​ Pension Plan

Kathryn Fric is the current Chief Risk Officer at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. Kathryn has over 18 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on risk management.

Kathryn began their career in 2003 as a Senior Vice President at Sun Life. In this role, they were responsible for developing Sun Life's budget for earnings and capital at risk, as well as overseeing operational risk management. Kathryn's team also provided oversight of asset liability management risks, market risks, and insurance risks.

In 2021, Kathryn became the Chief Risk Officer at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. In this role, they are responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risk across the organization. Kathryn has been instrumental in developing risk management policies and processes that have helped the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan navigate through challenging times.
