Vijay Thanigasalam

Vijay Thanigasalam is an experienced political figure and financial professional currently serving as the Associate Minister of Housing for the Ontario Government since June 2024. Thanigasalam has been a Member of Provincial Parliament for the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 2018 and held the position of Associate Minister of Transportation from September 2023 to June 2024. Prior roles include Parliamentary Assistant to both the Minister of Infrastructure and the Minister of Transportation and various positions in the financial sector, including Financial Advisor at RBC Insurance and Financial Service Marketing at CIBC. Education includes an ongoing Master of Business Administration from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University, an Executive Education program in Digital Marketing from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Ontario Tech University.
