Dongbin Xu

Dongbin Xu has a strong background in research and engineering. Dongbin currently holds a position as a Senior Research Scientist at Onto Innovation, starting in October 2022. Prior to that, Dongbin worked at Seagate Technology, where they served as a Senior Engineer from January 2020 to October 2022 and as an Engineer from February 2014 to December 2020. Dongbin's earlier work experience includes roles at the National University of Singapore, where they worked as a Research Assistant from September 2012 to February 2013 and as a Research Scholar from August 2008 to September 2012.

Dongbin Xu completed a Bachelor's degree in Material physics at Lanzhou University in the years 2004-2008. After that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering at the National University of Singapore from 2008 to 2013. Recently, from 2019 to 2021, they attended the NUS Institute of Systems Science, where they obtained a Master of Technology (Intelligent Systems) degree with a focus on Machine learning / Deep learning.
