Jerry L.

Jerry L. has extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Jerry currently holds the position of Applications Director at Onto Innovation, where they provide support to US&EU accounts and contributes to the Global System Apps Task Force.

Prior to their current role, Jerry worked at Nanometrics for several years in various positions. Jerry served as the Director of Field Applications and Systems for Key Accounts from November 2016 to September 2019. Before that, they held the role of Senior Applications Manager from August 2013 to November 2016. Jerry also worked as an Applications Manager for Integrated Metrology from July 2008 to August 2013, and as a Technical Lead from June 2004 to July 2008. Their tenure at Nanometrics began as an Applications Engineer in January 2002 and lasted until June 2004.

Before joining Nanometrics, Jerry worked at JDS Uniphase as a Manufacturing Engineer. Their responsibilities included designing and reviewing experiments for thin film deposition and thermal annealing, managing technicians, and ensuring ISO9001 compliance for procedure changes. Jerry held this position from January 2001 to October 2001.

Jerry L. attended Penn State University from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a Master's degree in Semiconductor processing improvement, data analysis, and troubleshooting. Prior to that, they studied at National Tsing Hua University from 1991 to 1995, earning a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Science.
