Syed Ahmed's work experience began in 2011 as a Firmware Engineer Co-op at PMC-Sierra. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Network Engineer Co-op at SemiosBIO Technologies Inc. Syed then joined Cisco in 2014 as an Associate Systems Engineer and later became a Virtual Systems Engineer from 2015 to 2016. In 2016, they moved to Blue Willow Systems Inc. as a Sales Engineer before becoming the Director of Systems Engineering from 2017 to 2018. Syed Ahmed then worked at Philips as a Senior Manager in Strategic Marketing from 2018 to 2021 and as a Senior Product Manager from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer at OnTraccr Technologies, a position they have held since February 2021.
Syed Ahmed completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) with Honours in Electrical Engineering at The University of British Columbia from 2009 to 2014. Syed also obtained additional certifications, including the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - Routing & Switching in December 2014, the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in June 2015, and the Cisco Sales Associate Program (CSAP) from Cisco in July 2015.
