Alyx Sandbothe

Alyx Sandbothe has been working in the design industry since 2011. Alyx began their career as a photographer at the Northern Iowan Newspaper in 2011. Alyx then moved on to Iowa Sports Center in 2012, where they were a screenprinter, graphic designer and handled the whole screen printing process from start to finish. In 2013, they worked as a graphic designer, video editor and website builder at Kyoger. Alyx then worked as a UX/UI designer and graphic designer at HowFactory from 2014 to 2019. From 2019 to 2021, they were a UX/UI designer at GoX Labs. Most recently, they have been a Senior UX/UI Designer at Onward Delivery since 2021 and a Sr. Design Associate at Techstars since 2021, where they are a UX/UI designer and mentor for all 10 companies in 2021 TechStar's Iowa Accelerator program.

Alyx Sandbothe attended UX Academy from 2016 to 2017, studying UX Design. From 2009 to 2013, they attended the University of Northern Iowa and obtained a Bachelor's degree with a major in Graphic Technology and a minor in Marketing and Studio Art. Alyx also attended Grandview University from 2009 to 2010, studying Graphic Design. In 2014, they began attending DevIowa to study HTML5 / CSS. Additionally, in May 2015, they obtained the Front End Foundations certification from Code School.
