Alex Maier

Alex Maier has a diverse range of work experience. Alex started their career as a Store Manager at The UPS Store, where they managed operations and provided excellent customer service. Alex then transitioned into marketing roles, starting as a Senior Marketing Project Manager at Innovative Product Development, where they developed marketing strategies for various industries. Alex later worked as a Marketing Manager (Contract) at Workplace Dynamics Consulting, where they built the organization's marketing and brand foundation.

Moving forward, Alex became a Marketing Director at Audi Beaverton and Sunset Porsche, managing multi-million dollar budgets and launching successful eCommerce sites. Alex also implemented a company-wide CRM system. Alex then became the Global Marketing Director at Perry Ellis International, leading a global marketing team and developing strategic marketing plans for Nike Swim.

Most recently, Alex worked as the Head of Product Marketing - onX Backcountry at onXmaps, Inc., inspiring outdoor adventures through technology. Currently, they hold the role of Chief Marketing Officer at onWater. In addition to their professional experience, Alex is an experienced professional photographer and has their own photography business.

Alex Maier has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Sales from Washington State University Vancouver. They also hold a Product Marketing Certification from the Product Marketing Alliance. Additionally, they have completed Air Force ROTC and Air Science and Operations studies at the University of Portland. Alex Maier has an Associates degree in Business Admin from Clark College. They have obtained several certifications, including Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue from Crucial Learning in 2022, Certified Facilitator and Trainer from Workplace Dynamics Consulting in 2012, LEAN Facilitator from Workplace Dynamics Consulting in 2011, and a Professional Sales Certificate from Washington State University - Carson College of Business in 2011.
