Connor Richmond

Connor Richmond has a diverse work experience in various engineering and manufacturing roles. Connor is currently working as a Mechanical Engineer at ONYX Insight since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Manufacturing Assistant at LITTLE IMAGE LTD from July 2021 to September 2021.

Connor also gained valuable industrial experience during their one-year Industrial Placement with Uniper, a leading global energy provider, from August 2019 to August 2020. Connor worked at the Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power Generation Station and was involved in the Materials Handling and Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) teams. In these roles, they were responsible for fuel selection and management to meet UK emissions standards, as well as implementing plant modifications.

Before their industrial placement, Connor worked as a Recycling Sorter at Peak Waste Recycling Ltd from June 2018 to August 2018. Connor was responsible for sorting materials into appropriate streams for recycling at this privately owned waste management company.

Connor Richmond attended Coventry University from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended UTC Derby Pride Park from 2015 to 2017, focusing on Engineering and Maths. Before their time at UTC, Connor studied at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Ashbourne from 2010 to 2015. No specific degree or field of study was mentioned for their time at UTC or Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School.
